Transition Brixton Urban Garden

Project Aim: 
Raise awareness about climate change etc and to educate residents to new (or old) ways of moving forward. Urban Agriculture being key. Also, I wanted the residents to feel a sense of permission and possibility.

Project Description: 

As part of an artist residency for The South London Gallery working with neighbouring Sceaux Gardens Estate I set up a Development Think Tank (Fun) Club. We established 8 groups, one of which was Food + Growing, and created an allotment garden on the estate.

Outcomes so far: 
The residents of the estate have responded really well; The kids are particularly eager.

Interest in gardening
